The NH School Transportation Association is the state's trade association of school districts and private bus contractors providing transportation for the state's school children. The Association has as its main purpose "the highest degree of safety in the transportation of school children", working with common intra-industry problems, and the cooperation with existing allied industries, associations, and governmental agencies for the advancement of school bus transportation. Members of the Association own and/or operate approximately 90 percent of the school buses traveling New Hampshire highways.

The winning poster from the NAPT national poster contest will be made available to us during the early summer months. As usual NHSTA will request a supply of the posters for any members conducting any special events or student/public awareness programs in honor of National School Bus Safety Week.

The NH School Transportation Saf-C 1300 Rules that were approved by JLCAR and adopted by the Commissioner of the NH Department of Motor Vehicles became effective on November 10, 2013. These rules have not yet been posted to the Office of Legislative Services website but they are in effect. The link below provides a copy of these rules.

This program will begin with an update from Trooper Kelby, but will largely be held outside as the focus will be on pre-trip inspections.
